The Old Guard is an Alliance guild for older players coming back to World of Warcraft. Maybe you last ran Deadmines when it was new, or raided back when guild calendars were spreadsheets. Either way, you're welcome. We keep the evenings short, the chat clean, and the pressure off. Family and work come first, and the game comes after.

Events
Sign up for events in our Discord's Events list so leaders can plan groups. You can show up without signing up, and it's fine if you sign up and then life pulls you away.
Achievements
Hit 60, cleared your first raid, maxed a profession? Post it in #deeds on Discord and an officer will add it here. Big moments outside the game count too, like a new grandchild, a retirement or a finished marathon. Those are our heirlooms.

Real life comes first
Kids, work, sleep and health always win. If you need to leave a dungeon halfway through, say so and go. No one will mind. There are no attendance requirements and no penalties for missing a night.
Built for returning veterans
Most of us first played years ago and are coming back with less free time and more responsibilities. Whether you last logged in during 2006 or never fully left, you're one of us.
Keep it family friendly
Guild chat, Discord and voice stay clean, because someone's kids or grandkids may be listening. That means no profanity, crude jokes or adult content. Politics and religion stay out of guild channels.
Be patient with each other
Many of us are relearning a game we last played long ago. Explain things and don't mock anyone. Everyone wipes sometimes.
We end on time
Guild events wrap up by 9:30 PM Arizona time, because bedtimes and early alarms are real. Leaders will plan the last pull of the night around that.
Loot is simple
Roll Need only on gear your current spec will use. In raids, main spec comes before off spec, and nobody gets a second upgrade until everyone there has had a shot at one.
Breaks are normal
Life changes. You can step away for a month or a year and come back without starting over. Just let an officer know you're back.
Take problems to an officer, privately
If something bothers you, message an officer directly rather than airing it in guild chat. We'll sort it out quietly and fairly.

Anyone who agrees to the charter is welcome. You don't need an application or an interview. We're built for older players returning to the game, but if a slower, friendlier pace suits you, pull up a chair.

It's a third, separate version of World of Warcraft that runs alongside Modern and Classic. It rebuilds the original level 1 to 60 Azeroth and adds new zones and content.
A standard WoW subscription covers it. The one extra-cost option announced is the new Skyborne race.
None. WoW Forever has no realms. Pick the NA region and look for The Old Guard in game.
Arizona doesn't change its clocks. From November to March it matches Mountain Time, and from March to November it matches Pacific Time.
